I have been operating Hunter Custom Covers since mid 2010 as a small home based business to provide quality custom made sheepskin products at a competitive price point in a market segment that has had little competition for custom made sheepskin products in the Newcastle/Hunter Valley.
I gained my skill for making custom sheepskin products such as seat covers for cars, motorcycles, baby seat/capsules, golf buggies, wheel chairs, office chairs etc by working at a local sheepskin company for 5 1/2 years prior to starting Hunter Custom Covers.
During my time with this company, i learnt and developed my industry knowledge and skills which also included the manufacture of ugg boots. This industry knowledge and skill set lead me to believe the local sheepskin market lacked enough competition to give customers a reasonable level of options.
I decided to operate as a small home based business to reduce costs as much as possible to be able to offer very competitive pricing while still using the best quality A-grade sheepskin and materials available.
